Jerry was born and raised in Akron, Ohio. He studied Finance at Ohio State University, graduated from OSU in 1999, and started his career as an accountant and analyst at the McDonald’s Accounting Center in Columbus, Ohio. Subsequently, he worked as an accountant and manager in the business office of the Ohio Department of Administrative Services for 5 years. He started BBI Accounting, LLC in 2004. He specializes in start-up consulting and tax return preparation for individuals, partnerships, S-corporations and small C-corporations. He is a QuickBooks Pro-Advisor and prepares tax returns in all 50 states.
When Jerry isn’t advising or consulting, you can find him enjoying his personal 3 R’s – reading, writing and running.
Jerry and Pam have known each other personally for nearly 20 years, and have worked alongside each other intermittently throughout those years. Pam brings over 20 years of management experience with her, and 15 of those years have been spent in the accounting and personnel management fields.
Pam was born, and has resided in Columbus, her whole life, and has always been an active member of the community. She enjoys live music, loves animals, and frequents many of our great local restaurants and shops.
Her work experience includes over 20 years of management experience, and 15 of that in finance and personnel management. She has been doing work here with us at BBI for over five years.
Heather Roper is the newest team member to join BBI Accounting. Heather works at the front desk and is the initial point-of contact when corresponding with us at BBI. She processes payroll, does bookkeeping and helps Pam and Jerry with their day-to-day workload.
Heather is an established bookkeeper and has worked for several small local businesses over the years. Prior to that, she worked for 10 years in an administrative capacity for a state licensing agency. She is a passionate supporter of small, independently owned businesses; with a personal interest in the DIY maker movement.
Originally from Alabama, she’s lived in Central Ohio for over 20 years. A mom to two girls and a dog, she enjoys sewing home goods for her own small business, when time allows.
